Creative & Strategy Lead

 As Creative & Strategy Lead, you’ll help shape the strategic vision behind client campaigns while ensuring high-quality execution across all platforms. This is a doer + thinker role, balancing strategic leadership with hands-on creative production across client projects. Working closely with the Creative Director, you’ll guide projects from concept through execution, contribute to brand and campaign strategy, and support a small, collaborative team serving mission-driven organizations.

 

Location: Gloversville, NY (Hybrid - remote with in-office work as needed)

Hours: Full-time with flexible schedule

Compensation: $32-$40/hour, based on experience


Key Responsibilities:

 

Strategy & Campaign Development

  • Collaborate with the Creative Director on marketing strategy, campaign frameworks, and brand positioning.
  • Translate client goals into clear, actionable plans with defined messaging and audiences.
  • Contribute to brand development, including voice, visual direction, and storytelling.

 Creative Leadership & Execution

  • Ensure all creative work is on-brand and consistent across digital and print platforms.
  • Provide direction and feedback to team members (graphic designer, social media manager, web specialist).
  • Contribute to brainstorming and develop concepts for visuals, copy, and campaign strategy.
  • Execute and refine creative assets across formats, including design, copywriting, and campaign materials.

 Project & Team Oversight

  • Manage campaign execution, timelines, deliverables, and priorities.
  • Oversee the social media content calendar to ensure alignment with overall strategy.
  • Maintain clear communication to keep projects moving efficiently.

Client Collaboration

  • Contribute to client meetings with input on strategy, messaging, and creative direction.
  • Guide clients in refining marketing approaches and brand positioning.
  • Support a consistent, high-quality client experience from planning through delivery.


Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience in marketing, communications, or a related field
  • Strong understanding of campaign strategy, messaging, and audience engagement
  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite
  • Excellent writing and editing skills with attention to detail
  • Experience with branding and visual identity
  • Highly organized, able to manage multiple projects at once
  • Comfortable working independently, collaboratively, and in client-facing settings


Bonus Skills:

  • Experience working with nonprofit or mission-driven organizations
  • Capital campaign or fundraising communications experience
  • Familiarity with web strategy, UX, or digital advertising
