Senior Designer

This role is ideal for a creative thinker and strong visual storyteller who thrives at the intersection of concept development, design strategy, and hands-on execution. The Senior Designer will help shape ideas from the ground up and bring them to life across digital, social, and print platforms, ensuring all creative work is cohesive, compelling, and mission-driven.

 

Location: Gloversville, NY (Remote)

Hours: 20 hours per week (flexible schedule) with opportunity for growth

Compensation: $30-$40/hour, based on experience


Key Responsibilities


  • Lead the visual development of creative campaigns and storytelling initiatives across platforms. 
  • Translate ideas into strong, cohesive design systems for social media, digital content, print materials, and branding assets. 
  • Design and produce high-quality creative deliverables including social media content, graphics, reels, flyers, brochures, postcards, posters, and newsletters. 
  • Partner on creative strategy, helping shape how campaigns are visually communicated from the earliest stages. 
  • Ensure consistency and integrity of brand identity across all visual communications. 
  • Take ownership of projects from concept through final execution, balancing creativity with clarity and purpose. 
  • Support marketing and communications efforts by elevating overall creative direction and output.


Qualifications:


  • 4+ years experience in graphic design/visual communication
  • Strong portfolio demonstrating conceptual thinking, campaign work, and design execution
  • Proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite required
  • Strong understanding of branding, visual storytelling, and layout design
  • Ability to take projects from early concept through polished final assets
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple projects independently
  • Excellent attention to detail with a high standard for design quality



Bonus Skills:


  • Experience working with nonprofits/mission-driven brands
  • Basic photography and/or photo editing skills
  • Basic video editing or motion graphics experience 
  • Familiarity with print production basics
